Cu toții (noi, fanii GOT) așteptăm cel de-al 8-lea sezon din Game of Thrones - este ultimul, iar toate lucrurile se vor lega în ceea ce sperăm să fie o aventură pe care n-o vom uita prea ușor.
Ultimul sezon GOT se va difuza în 2019, însă, spre bucuria noastră, HBO n-a terminat-o încă cu Westeros. Postul de televiziune a anunțat, în mod oficial, că va exista o continuare.
Poveștile vor fi cele desfășurate cu mii de ani înainte de întâmplările pe care George R.R. Martin le-a expus în seria lui Song of Ice and Fire, aventuri care se regăsesc în serialul celebru GOT.
Uite ce spune comunicatul oficial lansat de HBO:
"Taking place thousands of years before the events of Game of Thrones, the series chronicles the world’s descent from the golden Age of Heroes into its darkest hour. And only one thing is for sure: from the horrifying secrets of Westeros’s history to the true origin of the white walkers, the mysteries of the East to the Starks of legend… it’s not the story we think we know".
În primă fază va fi lansat un episod-pilot, pentru a vedea și care sunt reacțiile publicului. Proiectul este creat de Martin și Jane Goldman (o scenaristă britanică) - cei doi au scris împreună și primul episod.
Momentan nu se știu mai multe detalii despre noul serial, dar un lucru este sigur - fanii vor avea timp să proceseze și să se bucure de finalul Game of Thrones. Casey Bloys, președintele programelor HBO, a confirmat cele de mai sus:
"There is not going to be anything in any scenario where we have any sort of prequel air for at least a year after that. I want the final season of Game of Thrones to be the final season of Game of Thrones, I don't want to use it to launch something else, I want it to stand as the finale of the greatest TV show of all time, I don't want to do anything that infringes on that".
